The PinPointe FootLaser Ablates Trichophyton Rubrum
This video clearly demonstrates that the PinPointe FootLaser ablates dermatophyte (Trichophyton Rubrum), using standard procedure protocol and energy settings due to its proprietary pulse train, focused 1.5mm spot (optimal energy density) and ultra-short pulse width (not found on competing lasers).
You will also notice that the culture medium is unaffected, which simulates healthy tissue not damaged during the procedure, as evidenced by nearly 100,000 cases performed without adverse events.
The PinPointe FootLaser ablates T. Rubrum through the nail plate without damage to the nail plate itself. With the nail removed, you will notice a broadening of the ablation pattern. A subsequent pass ablates areas missed by diffusion on first pass. Clinical studies demonstrate a dose-response effect that favors two or more passes for optimal efficacy.
The large fluffy white mounds of T. rubrum in the above video (not typical of human infection), are equally well ablated—demonstrating that pathogen color is not critical to achieve complete pathogen destruction.
